Whenever I pass these doors it always seems to me that they belong in Europe somewhere rather than in midtown Manhattan. I love those carved lions in the middle. Have a good Wednesday!

Seems like these doors are common on walk-up apartments in NYC ...
Beautiful doors ... isn't it sad that this kind of art/architecture is not practiced today?
Reminds me of a scene in Dickens Christmas Carol where Scrooge see's the carved lions face morph into a likeness of Marley!
