A while back I showed a photo of the George Washington Bridge with the little red lighthouse underneath. In that photo the lighthouse looked like a tiny speck. Here's a perspective taken from underneath the bridge, where you can get a better view of it. I was there for the first time this weekend and there is a beautiful park there, which affords some great views of the Hudson river.

A sombre shot this...the sky looks foreboding too.
beau contre-jour, c'est vrai qu'il est beau ce phare.
nice backlighting, that's true that it is nice this headlight.
great angle , i like it very much :)
Cool shot! Nice perspective and angle!
Did you ever read the famous children's book about it? Neither have I, LOL! The publication and subsequent national popularity in the late 1940's helped to preserve the Jeffery's Hook Lighthouse a few years later, now on the National Register of Historic places. And the Wiki says tours inside each September! Jay
I forgot to add, great photo, I like the perspective and framing, then your capture of the dramatic lighting and sky.
This would be a wonderful Sky Watch Friday.
Love that sky and lighthouse.
Good job!

This image has a lot of energy and a bit of mystery. I like the lines and the interesting perspective. Not just the same old light house shot at all!
