Green Building

This building gives a new meaning to the term green building. I don't know how it started, but it is covered in vines and greenery. I wonder what it must look like from the inside? I've always been interested in this building and how it got that way.

un mur végétal, cela fait penser au musée du quai Branly à Paris.
a plant wall, it makes think of the museum of the quay Branly in Paris.

Did those vines go all the way up? I saw a condo here that the vines went up over 10 stories!

Yes it certainly does give green building a whole new, or perhaps should say, old definition. Seems to me this is what the whole city woould soon revert to if the humens left nature to its own designs!

When I was a little girl my cousins and I called these "grass houses". I'm sure that lurking in the foliage, besides bugs, are sparrows. They loved the ivy that used to crawl up the side of our barn. We removed it to protect the structure. It was a little sad when we did.
