Some of the finisher's medals from the ING New York City Marathon 2009, which took place on Sunday. I think it was one of the largest marathons yet in NYC, if not the largest. I haven't read all of the stats yet! Have a great week.

Cool shot! That's a lot of medals ... anyone who finishes running 26.2 miles deserves a medal.
Hi, did you run it this year? I watched it and was willing Paula Radcliffe on, but injury did it for her in the end.
Nice and original image !!
A great behind the scenes image. Even more inspiring when one considers the effort and commitment of each runner represented by the medals.
Someone I know had a pretty impressive finish this year, and I an occasional 5K runner, am in awe.
Way to go Lori....must have been a beautiful day...both to run the marathon and also to enjoy the fall scenery throughout the city.
Interesting shot!Thanks!
Have a great week too.
Hi Lori! I’m back home and happy to come here!! So, which medal did you win?
Meanwhile Blogtrotter is showing you an old castle village in Lycia. Enjoy and have a great week!
