I've always thought these structures for parking cars (without a parking garage) were kind of interesting. I guess it's an effective way to use less space, which is seriously needed in NYC. I suppose you just can't expect to get your car out in a hurry!

It's very intersting , i wouldn't like to be in a car below all the others ;) Never seen that kind of Parking cars in France !

Looks like a good idea for long term storage ... I used to have a toy way back when, which was a mechanical parking garage for Hot Wheels ... something along that concept.
Like the tight perspective looking down on it, usually only see them looking up from the street. Expensive to build, expensive to use, but such is life in mid-town!
