Late Fall

A typical late fall day in Central Park....I took this picture the day of the marathon in early November. (I miss spending as much time in the park as I used to!) Hopefully I'll have some more wintry photos soon, now that its December.

Christmas Fairy

I think this was a Christmas Fairy or maybe a very tall ballerina at last night's holiday celebration in Lincoln Square. The holiday season is here!

Concert

I was walking in a park in Chinatown recently and there were a lot of these groups performing. There were three or four of them. It must be a popular past time. They sounded really good.

Shoppers

Here are some shoppers at the Saturday greenmarket on Isham Street in Inwood. They always have such a nice market there with lots of great produce. Maybe these people were shopping for the thanksgiving meal!

Bell

I'm not sure what this Liberty Bell replica was doing outside the St. Mark's Church-in-the Bowery in the East Village. It was a very nice church from the outside. I must go back and see the inside.

Building

I liked the contrast between the older and newer architecture here. I don't know who designed the new building. I think it was in the East Village. Have a good week.

Lanterns

This is a lantern I saw recently in Central Park. The trees are illuminated because they were filming a movie in that area. I think it's to be called Tower Heist. Not sure who's in it.

Pastel

This mural caught my eye the other day. I'm not sure what they were advertising. I guess it's just a typical street scene in NYC.

Metropolitan Life Building

I took a photo of the Metropolitan Life Building the other day when I was in Madison Square Park. There was a time when it was the tallest building in the world. It looks so beautiful at night, though I don't have a night time photo to show you. According to Wikipedia it was modeled after the Campanile in Venice.
