Pork

This photo is from the meat department at the new Italian market "Eataly" on 23rd Street in the flatiron district. It's a really cool market with some delicious looking food there (bread, wine, cheese, etc.). It's well worth a stroll through if you are in the area.

Fruit

I've forgotten the name of this fruit I saw recently in Chinatown. The peeled one seemed to glow! I'm sure it must be delicious. Have a good weekend!

Scattered light

This is a (not so good) photo of a new art installation in Madison Square Park by the artist Jim Campbell. It's called Scattered Light and you can read more about it here. It's really quite beautiful, especially at dusk.

Candy dress

This was a delicious looking dress, if you have a sweet tooth. It was on display at Macy's and was completely made of candy. I believe it was there to celebrate the release of a new book by Dylan Lauren from Dylan's Candy Bar. It was quite pretty in person.

Columbus Circle

This is a photo I took last night from Jazz at Lincoln Center's space at the Time Warner Center, looking down on Columbus Circle. They have a great view from there!

Marathon!

I didn't run in the marathon this year, but I did enjoy it as a spectator. It was a gorgeous day for the runners. This is near mile 26 in Central Park. Congratulations to the runners!

Subway Sign

Okay, enough Maine photos for now! Here is an art deco looking subway sign I saw recently on the east side. I'd never seen one like it before.

Owl's Head

This is a view of the harbor in Owl's Head, Maine, a beautiful spot. It looked like they were fixing up this boat. We got some great lobsters there!

Penobscott Narrows

A view from the Penobscott Narrows Bridge and Observatory in Maine. You go up in part of the bridge and it affords a marvelous view over the water and the mountains. Gorgeous fall views!

Breakfast

Doesn't this look like a delicious breakfast?! It was. This was from Deb's Diner in Waldoboro, Maine. I especially liked the home made bread, baked beans and blueberry pancakes!
