I saw these beautiful purple flowers recently at Wave Hill, the beautiful gardens and cultural center in Riverdale, the Bronx. These flowers are called Glory-of-the-Snow. Here is a description from their website: "Glory-of-the-snow fills the garden beds with gentian-blue flowers in late winter. Native to the mountains of southwestern Turkey, Chionodoxa requires cold winters and thrives along the Hudson." Wednesday, April 13, 2011

I saw these beautiful purple flowers recently at Wave Hill, the beautiful gardens and cultural center in Riverdale, the Bronx. These flowers are called Glory-of-the-Snow. aaah, thanks for letting me know the name of these flowers! i was wondering since i saw them all over the beautiful emetery i visited last sunday here in boston...
it was a long and cold winter, so that explains their amount then! :)
