Glory-of-the-Snow

I saw these beautiful purple flowers recently at Wave Hill, the beautiful gardens and cultural center in Riverdale, the Bronx. These flowers are called Glory-of-the-Snow. Here is a description from their website: "Glory-of-the-snow fills the garden beds with gentian-blue flowers in late winter. Native to the mountains of southwestern Turkey, Chionodoxa requires cold winters and thrives along the Hudson."

aaah, thanks for letting me know the name of these flowers! i was wondering since i saw them all over the beautiful emetery i visited last sunday here in boston...
it was a long and cold winter, so that explains their amount then! :)

How prolific (and early) they are. Great perspective, too!
