Zabar's

Since most people here are preparing for their thanksgiving feasts tomorrow, I thought I would show a photo from one of New York's great food institutions, Zabar's. It's always worth a stroll through Zabars which has amazing cheese, breads, meats, olives, smoked fish, coffee, etc., etc. This is a picture of their prepared foods counter which has an awesome selection too. I always love to walk through this store!

I love these places! I can almost smell the meats and spices. I wish there was some way to record and play back aromas!

I hope you are not only walking through but buying something, too! You need to eat, girl, so that you can run your marathons!!

I love Zabar's. It is one of the most wonderful grocery stores in NYC. I had the smoked salmon and pickled herring at a party once and the hostess told me she got them at Zabar's.

Great stuff.

Hum... Zabar's is my corner store. No kidding: it's just around my corner. I was there an hour ago and snapped a picture of the guy slicing the salmon! So your post definitely makes me smile!!!

I am glad you enjoyed Note by Note. I thought it was wonderfully done. I would love to visit the Steinway factory one of these days.

Sorry for having taken so much time to come back here, but these last weeks have been awful. Fortunately, arrived just on time for the party...
